WE RECYCLE is a community-based recycling cooperation. Paper, plastic, aluminum, cardboard, and glass are accepted at the local center - no sorting required.

Members of WE RECYCLE receive a reusable bag for storing material between drop offs, and a membership card that awards perks at local businesses.

The drop-off center offers information on sustainable practices, including composting, alternative energy, and better waste diversion methods, as well as a “REUSE STORE,” where all items are free and available to members.

Eliminating The Waste

Nearly three-fourths of an average person’s daily waste is recyclable. From plastic bottles to newsprint, junk mail to soup cans, almost everything we throw away can create another product.

Products that are not recyclable are generally avoidable. Plastic bags from grocery stores can be replaced by canvas bags, Styrofoam cups exchanged for ceramic mugs, and so on. Organic waste can be composted and used in gardens or flower pots.

Making the transition to living waste-free is not difficult, but it does require making conscious decisions about the products we buy and use in our day-to-day life.

For those of us who still require a waste service, WE RECYCLE makes every effort to develop partnerships with local waste haulers to offer a combined service at a discounted price.

C & C Disposal, of Pueblo West, is leading the way to incentivize recycling within the community. We encourage all of our members to consider using their services if needed.
